VAR Britannic Technologies has hailed its Annual Convergence Summit at Ascot Racecourse which was attended by more than 300 delegates.

This year’s Summit was centered on Unified Communications and how the market has evolved with the virtualisation of technology, centralisation of services and availability of next-generation networks.

Keynotes were given by a range of vendors including Avaya, Cisco, HP ProCurve, BT and Cable & Wireless.

After the keynotes, delegates attended a technology exhibition, which allowed them to see a range of technology from all the keynote vendors and others including ComputerTel, iOMART, Ipanema Technologies, Mitel, Oak Telecom, Sun and Tandberg.

Delegates were also encouraged to discuss specific projects and requirements with Britannic and its partners.

Nigel Pink, general manager UK and Ireland at Ipanema Technologies, was full of praise for the day. “Britannic’s grasp of how to translate technology into business value was again demonstrated at Ascot,” he said.
