Hammer signs id7 partnership

The deal will see Hammer supply id7's PR4, BK4, AR4 and IB4 product ranges

Storage distributor Hammer has signed a Europe-wide partnership with backup and archive vendor id7 to help it grow market share.

The deal, which adds to the distributor's existing InfiniBand and SME storage offerings, will see Hammer supply id7's PR4, BK4, AR4 and IB4 product ranges to its network of resellers across Europe.

Mark Klarzynski, founder of id7, said: "We worked closely with Hammer to gain a comprehensive insight into today's SME storage and InfiniBand market requirements. We subsequently productised four product ranges, all based on our core hardware and software technology."

Neil Munday, vice president of sales and marketing at id7, said: "We are excited by the opportunity that our partnership with Hammer offers us, both from a sales and technology standpoint, and as such we are delighted to appoint Hammer as our exclusive distributor for the UK. Hammer also offers us a strong route to market in other European countries, such as the Nordics, Italy and Belgium, as our operations grow.”
