Storage vendor Imation is aiming to blitz the UK channel in 2010 with a reseller programme centred on its business-to-business (B2B) range set for launch on 1 January.
The data storage specialist garners 60 per cent of its revenue through consumer brands such as Memorex and TDK. But the firm is looking to ramp up B2B sales through the Data Elite channel scheme.
Imation already has UK distribution relationships with heavyweights including Bell Micro, Westcoast and CMS Peripherals. The programme will split resellers into Storage Media and Professional partners.

Thomas Desramaut, Imation’s EMEA channel programmes marketing manager, said he was looking for about 30 UK VARs.
“We are looking for big, corporate resellers, but also small systems integrators that mainly do services,” he added.
Partners will benefit from marketing resource, lead generation and training programmes. Desramaut added that product margin would range from 12 to 35 per cent, depending on the project.
“Resellers will find all any customer could want in terms of archiving and backup solutions,” he said.
