Handing it over: Giles (left) and Scott exchange the missing Channel Award

The saga of the missing CRN award has finally come to a safe and happy conclusion.

Back in November, VAR ANS won the Editor’s Choice Emerging Company of the Year award, but unfortunately for them, they were unable to make the event and the award was picked up by a representative from Broadband Buyer.

Pictured is Broadband Buyer’s Giles Essame handing the award back to ANS managing director Scott Fletcher, who was relieved to finally get his hands on the award.

Speaking to CRN, Fletcher said: "We are glad that the award has now been freed and is safely back in Manchester. It is currently being assessed by our experts to determine whether it has suffered any long-term physiological damage from its ordeal but the initial reports are encouraging.

“It will now spend the next month with its family before resuming its place in our trophy cabinet. We would also like to stress that it is ANS company policy not to negotiate with kidnappers and no ransom was paid to Broadband Buyer. "

Does Broadbandbuyer get an award for looking after the award? ;-)

In accordance to the Geneva Convention. I can confirm the award was treated fairly. At no time throughout the ordeal did the award feel threatened for its safety or wellbeing. Broadbandbuyer is pleased for the award to be safely in the hands of the rightful owner. A big congratulations to Scott Fletcher and ANS Group for winning Emerging Company of the Year!. Let us know if you need us to represent your company again :-D. Regards Giles
