Gen-x unveils new recruits

New staff to oversee development of Manchester-based firm's distribution activities

Manchester-based Gen-x has appointed two new managers to shore up its distribution division.

Paul Smith joins as business development manager from media conversion vendor and Gen-x partner Transition Networks, while Giles Roe, formerly of InterSoftware, will oversee marketing.

Both new appointments will focus on Gen-x’s distribution arm, which boasts authorised contracts with Transition, Coyote Point and MRV Communications.

Gen-x also has a professional services division called Xtra Care and a broker arm called X-Source.

Alan Gould, managing director of Gen-x said: “We are delighted to have Paul and Giles on board. These appointments demonstrate our commitment to our existing Partners and we expect our continuing growth to attract new Vendor Partners.”
