Kcom has signed a deal to outsource customer care to Phoenix IT

Telecommunications provider Kcom is to outsource its customer maintenance and field support to Phoenix IT Services.

Kcom said the decision to appoint Phoenix IT as a customer support partner followed a “rigorous process” to determine whether or not the firm had the capability and experience to deliver high levels of customer care.

The deal follows an announcement made by Kcom’s parent company in November that the firm was to undergo a structural overhaul to enable it to focus on its “core competencies”.

Paul Renucci, group executive director of Kcom, said customers will benefit most from the deal struck between the two firms.

He said: “Kcom’s expertise and understanding in designing and delivering managed communications services, combined with Phoenix IT Services’ responsive, innovative and highly scalable support services, will provide a flexible and engaging proposition for our customers.”
