Buying group Synaxon is offering VARs free use of its online procurement tool to tempt them into becoming top level members.
For a limited time, resellers with three or more active accounts with Synaxon's distribution partners can have full access to its Enterprise Global Information System (EGIS). The group currently counts 23 UK distributors as partners and more than 200,000 items are featured on EGIS.
Synaxon claims the online tool provides instant access to information on stock availability and pricing. Resellers that become top-level Synaxon Technology Premier Partners (STTP) get discounted rates. They also receive copies of a bi-monthly newsletter detailing special offers from Synaxon's vendor and distribution partners, which they can give to their customers.

Synaxon's systems support manager Phil Meacham claimed VARs would be won over by using EGIS' advanced features, including order tracking and price checking.
“In making this offer, we are hoping that many of our STP partners, and new members, will take the opportunity to try the EGIS platform," he said. "We are confident that once they have, they will see its value and will change the way their procurement process currently operates for the better. They can then become full STPPs and enjoy all the additional benefits and advantages that being on the higher level of Synaxon membership brings to their business.”
“EGIS is a tremendous resource for dealers and resellers who want to make sure, not only that they can find which distributors have stock of the required product at the best possible prices individual to their account, but also that they are themselves competitive in the marketplace.”
