Top marks: Tufin has launched a new training programme

Firewall management vendor Tufin Technologies has moved to a tiered channel model and has created a new training programme.

The Israel-based vendor was founded in 2003 by a breakaway group of Check Point executives and now boasts more than 375 customers and 140 resellers globally - including Integralis, Didata and Nebulas Security.

Resellers will now be classified as Gold and Silver, determining their level of incentives, sales enablement and technical training.

The vendor has also launched the Tufin Certified Security Expert (TCSE) programme to help resellers support customers on the full breadth of its product range.

The first series of one-day TCSE training courses will be held at various locations in major European and US cities between September and November.

Nebulas Security managing director Nick Garlick said the initiative would help resellers to demonstrate the value of automating policy management of firewalls and other network devices.

“The firewall and network management market is growing rapidly, yet Tufin has kept a laser-like focus on its partners, enabling us to get more leads, more business and technical support, and more high-margin deals,” Garlick said.

Shaul Efraim, vice president of products, marketing and business development at Tufin Technologies, said: “Our channel partners have been critical to our ability to understand and respond to market trends. We look forward to working with them to maintain our thought and market leadership in 2010 and beyond.”
