Distributor Westcon Group has consolidated its Comstor and Westcon France operations to form Westcon Group France.

Westcon Group France will provide a single point of contact to its customers, enabling them to source all its convergence and security offerings in one place. On a operational level the move aims to simplify the sales, back office and logistic functions of Westcon.

The combined operations will be headed by general manager Fabrice Tusseau, formerly general manager of Comstor France. Olivier Frerebeau, formerly general manager of Westcon France, has been appointed as European new business initiative director.

Westcon completed the same move in the UK earlier in the year (CRN, 27 February).
Barry Shakespeare, executive vice president, European sales and operations, Westcon Group, said: “The decision to optimise the efficiency of our Westcon and Comstor organisations in France even further has come about through direct requests from our customer community - the vast majority of whom already sell multi-vendor solutions."

"Ultimately, this change will increase their ability to compete by giving them access to our total range of convergence, security and mobility solutions and support services. This organisational structure has already been implemented in the UK and Benelux with great success,” added Shakespeare.

Tusseau, added: “Resellers in France are looking for a seamless way to obtain advanced solutions from a single source. The best solutions in convergence and security indisputably involve multiple vendors and a high degree of technical expertise. Nobody is in a better position to deliver this than us, and our combined operations strengthen our ability to carry this out."
