A total of 23 winners scooped prizes on the night

Channel Awards 2008: The winners picked up their awards in front of more than 1,700 attendees

A total of 19 lucky firms were celebrating their success last week after winning much-coveted CRN awards.

The ceremony, held last Thursday at the Battersea Park Events Arena in London, saw 23 awards presented.

All of the categories were hotly contested, none more so than the reseller categories.
Awards went to Intercept, SICL, WStore, Blue Chip and Softcat. BT Basilica scooped the Reseller of Year award for the second year running.

Both Computer 2000 (C2000) and Bell Micro won two awards this year: Bell scooped Systems Distributor of the Year and Software Distributor of the Year, and C2000 won Networking Distributor of the Year and Distributor of the Year.

Other distributor awards were won by Midwich and Computerlinks.

HP also won two awards ­ Systems Vendor of the Year and Networking Vendor of the Year, with EMC winning Vendor of the Year for the first time. Other vendor winners included Symantec, Microsoft, Kingston Technology and Trend Micro.
