Integrator Logicalis has re-architected the policy management solution it acquired in January and is hunting for partners to push it into niche verticals.
Six months after acquiring software vendor Iconium (CRN, 23 January), Logicalis has launched GRACE, an automated policy management solution designed to enable organisations to simplify and reduce operational risk.
Talking exclusively to CRN, Logicalis managing director Tom Kelly stressed that a number of large firms, including HBOS and Carphone Warehouse, have recently incurred fines for non-compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

“We saw an opportunity and a market that was going to grow, so we acquired Iconium for our own benefit. But we are not going to keep it to ourselves. I believe there are firms out there that we will never come into contact with, that can use GRACE as a fundamental part of the solution they offer,” Kelly said.
“Iconium had a good solution but there were some issues with the way the product was designed and put together. We got the original development team to re-design it by making it much more open.”
Kelly said that Logicalis is looking for partners to take the solution to niche verticals such as hedge funds, banks, insurance firms and health and safety.
“We will sit in the background and offer a full level of support and maintain the intellectual capital,” he said.
