Bell Micro Europe has undergone a executive reshuffle after revealing channel veteran Alex Tatham is leaving the distributor after 10 years.
Jan Lawford will step into the European commercial director role in September after Tatham steps down next month. Lawford joins Bell’s executive team from security vendor RSA. In addition, Paul Mehl is to stand down from the UK executive team to focus on running Germany as country manager.
Tatham told CRN: “I am delighted to have worked at Bell Micro and I wish them the best. I also wish Jan the best in her new role. I am looking forward to doing something new.”
Tatham, who has played a major role in helping Bell retain its Microsoft distributor status declined to reveal where his next job would be.
Graeme Watt, European president for Bell Micro, said: “Alex has been instrumental in establishing our leadership position in software and a key driver in the moves to extend our business into continental Europe and latterly drove our rebranding exercise across Europe. We will miss his presence and enthusiasm.”
Steve Haddock, Microsoft’s partner group manager, said: “Alex has done a fantastic job for Microsoft’s growth at Bell. I will miss my bi-weekly calls with him and hope I will get to work with him again.”
