IBM is helping its Business Partners drive growth by offering them free access to sales intelligence tool Dow Jones SalesWorks.
Big Blue launched the pilot programme at its Business Partner mid-market conference in London earlier this year. So far 39 UK partners have signed up. Selected VARs are given up to three free 12-month licences.
Darr Aley, vice president of business development at Dow Jones, said: “Sales professionals can create lists of targets for highly focused sales and marketing campaigns, and conduct fast, thorough research into a company or executives before making a sales call.”

June Thomson, commercial director of business partners IBM UK and Ireland, told CRN: “The programme is designed for client-facing business partners who are focused on revenue growth in the mid-market. It is open to all IBM partners who are members of PartnerWorld and who are enabled to report their results back to IBM. We approve applications on a first-come, first-served basis.”
AJ Thompson, sales director of VAR Northdoor, said: “The tool enables our team to exploit key, up-to-date information to support our sales process.”
