Bullish messaging security vendor CipherTrust has claimed an increasing number of resellers are switching to its technology from rivals.
The latest partner to make the switch is digital security reseller Evolution, which recently joined CipherTrust’s partner programme.
Mark Heather, managing director of Evolution, said: “We were an IronPort Gold partner, but compared with CipherTrust’s technology, it seemed to be playing catch-up. CipherTrust seems to be more integrated and aligned to what the market and our customers want.”
Oliver Carter, EMEA channel manager at CipherTrust, said: “Some of our competitors recruited large numbers of resellers. This left us lagging behind, but we have shown ourselves as a solid, stable and rapidly growing vendor in the UK market.
“VARs seem to be moving to us because other vendors have let them down. The benefit for us is that these partners have the experience and a broad customer base.”
However, IronPort dismissed CipherTrust’s claims. Danny Driscoll, partner sales manager for Northern Europe at IronPort, said: “A decision was taken by mutual consent to end all commercial partnerships with Evolution. The termination was planned and has no impact on existing or planned customer engagements.
“For the past 12 months, IronPort has undertaken an extensive review of its channel partner relationships. This news is an expected result of that process.”
