Security appliance vendor Cyberoam has launched an aggressive trade-in scheme to help resellers flush out the remainder of 2008 budgets.
Cyberoam has certified more than 15 resellers, including Networks Unlimited, Working IT Solutions and Breadth Technology, since it touched down in the UK in April (Channelweb, 1 May).
Kunal Popat, business development manager at Cyberoam, said: “We need to cash in on budgets that have been agreed for this year.”

As part of the programme, end users can net a free Cyberoam appliance when
they buy two years’
service and its 8x5 maintenance and support package, potentially saving them up
to £6,410.
Nigel Arnold, operations director at Networks Unlimited, said the programme demonstrates Cyberoam’s aggressive intent.
“It is a crowded market, but Cyberoam has a unique offering. It is skewed towards ID-based unified threat management, which allows end users to control what users do from a security perspective,” he said.
Mukesh Gupta, managing director of Cyberoam’s sole UK distributor, e92plus, said: “This is an opportunity for users to move to a better firewall without a huge cost.”
