Application platform vendor Magic Software Enterprises is aiming to double its global ISV base to 5,000 within three years by offering partners an easy route into the software-as-a-service (SaaS) for mobile market.
The latest version of Magicís uniPaaS application platform suite includes .NET integration for rich internet applications (RIA) clients and support for mobile devices. It uses metadata, allowing an ISV to deploy applications in SaaS, cloud and mobile environments but through the use of one platform.
David Akka, managing director, for UK, Eire and Nordics of Magic Software Enterprises UK, said: "The SaaS and mobile revolution is very strong, so we plan to grow our ISV channel there. We ideally work with ISVs that generate over £1m annual turnover with more than 50 customers."

Darran Neary, technical director at Magic ISV FactoryMaster, said Magicís technology allows it to focus on building applications.
"We recently moved into SaaS on mobiles," he said. "We did not have to learn about the mobile technology, instead we developed the applications for mobiles and Magic Software took care of the rest."
