Audiovisual distributor Medium UK has inked a technical partnership alliance with high-definition videoconferencing specialist Beyondis.
The distributors announced the deal at this year’s Bett show in London, and hope it will cement videoconferencing sales opportunities for 2009 as well as give them access to new resellers.
Paul O’Reilly, commercial director at Medium, said Beyondis was appealing because of its technical prowess and partnerships with videoconferencing brands such as LifeSize, Sony and Avistar.
“We will bring together a suite of offerings and full end-to-end service for resellers,” he said. “Videoconferencing is a technical sell.”
Technical expertise on both sides is expected to assist sales in what both
companies hope will be a growth area in 2009 as businesses look to cut costs.
“We felt Beyondis is an emerging company with some great brands,” claimed
O’Reilly.
Kris Davies, managing director of Beyondis, said the distributors share a philosophy about going all the way to help partners.
“We did not know all the right resellers,” he said. “With Medium on board, we hope to double sales.”
