Resellers YoYoTech and Pudsey Computers have been rewarded with a £1,500 cash bonus for a surge in second-quarter sales of BullGuard software.
The internet security software vendor runs a quarterly sales incentive, offering VARs the chance to win the cash prize or an all-inclusive weekend trip to Copenhagen. The two partners posting the highest sequential increase in average monthly product activations walk away with the spoils.
During Q2, West Yorkshire-based Pudsey Computers and central London system builder YoYoTech were crowned the winners. Both firms opted for the cash windfall.

Steven Lightfoot, partner at Pudsey Computers, revealed the money will be partly spent on a new phone system to serve the VAR's two retail stores.
“We have been a BullGuard reseller for nearly a year now, and have seen continued growth within 2010," he said. "With a big sales push throughout Q2 2010, we managed to increase sales massively."
YoYoTech runs a PC and components shop on Tottenham Court Road and installs BullGuard during system builds, as well as selling it as an over-the-counter software package. Ravi Popat, a purchaser at YoYoTech, said the incentive programme had captured employees' imaginations.
“We were really appreciative of the sales incentive in Q2 and our staff engrossed themselves in the challenge," he said. "The bonus has been distributed among our staff, which they were grateful to receive, and we were extremely pleased to pass it on to them for all their hard work."
BullGuard's UK sales director, Alan Case, said the vendor had more than doubled VAR numbers in recent months to 855.
“Working closely with our independent resellers remains a core focus of BullGuard’s channel strategy as we have a strong brand within this market," he said. "Our quarterly incentives for resellers are just part of our ongoing dedication and commitment to assist our partners to improve on their BullGuard sales."
