Security distributor e92plus has wrested control of reseller Trustmarque’s Websense business from rival Bell Micro.
As revealed by CRN, Trustmarque has cut the number of distributors it works with for 14 of its main vendor lines worth a combined £30m annually.
e92plus was among the ten distributors that made the cut and will be Trustmarque’s supplier for web filtering vendor Websense for the foreseeable future. Trustmarque previously bought its Websense products from Bell, although the distributor did get the nod to be the VAR's supplier for some other vendors.

e92plus managing director Mukesh Gupta forecast the deal could be worth over £1m annually. He claimed the victory came down to the distributor’s services prowess rather than price.
“We have a Websense online pricing tool where you can log on and generate quotes very quickly,” he said.
Trustmarque’s operations director, Mark Godliman, said: “The quality of response was high and there was a definite desire to work with Trustmarque which we are seeing more of as we move from a LAR to a reseller.”
