VAR Intrinsic Technology has signed a strategic partnership with integrator Ramesys to grab a £20m slice of the lucrative Building Schools for the Future (BSF) pie.

Education specialist Ramesys, which has secured a five-year support infrastructure framework deal under the BSF project, has signed Intrinsic as its strategic partner to provide all converged and unified communications solutions including Lan, WLan and IP telephony for the five-year period.

The two firms are already working on BSF projects for Manchester, Waltham Forest, Nottingham and Westminster City Councils.

Mark Hoyland, chief operating officer at Ramesys, said: “Ramesys success is built on developing strategic partnerships with specialist service providers and building long term relationships with them.

“Intrinsic and Ramesys have already laid the solid foundations for an excellent business relationship and our continued success together will see the partnership go from strength to strength.”

Gregg Spooner, strategic business director at Intrinsic Technology, said: “The partnership between Intrinsic and Ramesys is a perfect combination. We are like minded companies, similarly sized and both with ambitious growth plans for the future.

“Intrinsic already has a strong foothold in the higher education and further education sectors, however, we are keen to expand further into the secondary education arena, and our partnership with Ramesys will ensure we achieve that expansion.”
