Corporate reseller Computacenter admitted it has endured a “mixed” start to 2007.

Despite recently netting a five-year outsourcing agreement with BT (CRN, 29 March), the VAR revealed in its most recent trading update that its UK financial first quarter performance was below that achieved a year earlier due to disappointing product sales.

It enjoyed better progress on the continent, particularly in Germany where it reported that underlying business results had exceeded expectations.

Computacenter also said that losses had been “much reduced” at its French arm.

The VAR, which posted revenues of £2.27bn last year, still expects its full-year results to be in line with management expectations.
