DNS Arrow claims it has become the first distributor to offer renewal management support to UK VMware resellers.
The distributor has added a VMware support services module to its automated licensing renewals system. The system can already be used for service renewals for DNS Arrow’s other key vendors, including Blue Coat, Check Point, Citrix, HP, IBM, NetApp and Symantec.
The new VMware module automatically publishes quotes for all services contracts that are within 90 days of expiring.

The system then presents a single view and status report of all a reseller’s renewal contracts with the virtualisation vendor and will generate notifications as the expiry date approaches.
DNS Arrow said the solution would slash the cost of the renewal process for resellers.
Early data suggests that VMware resellers using the module have seen a spike in renewal rates, said managing director Steve Pearce.
“Judging by the immediate success of this system since offering it for many of our other lines, we are confident that VMware customers will benefit from this significant upgrade in the renewals process,” he added.
