On his promotion Hannah said: “There is great scope within Avnet to grow the networking and security business and I’m relishing the opportunity to work closely with a broader section of our key partners to ensure they are maximising Avnet’s value and to support them in identifying new revenue streams.”
With more than six years' experience in this technology area, Snape joins Avnet from Sphinx where he was also Juniper business manager.
Snape said: “I joined Avnet because I believe it has a strong and differentiated message in the networking and security space. In addition, it is able to execute an effective solutions proposition for its business partners which puts Avnet in a clear position of strength.
“This is a great opportunity as I’m joining the business at a point where it is expanding and I will be managing a vendor who is a key strategic partner to Avnet and clear industry leader.”
Laura Harman, Avnet business director, said: “Increased demand for innovative networking solutions is fuelling business growth for both our business partners and vendors. Avnet’s commitment to service and support continues to pay dividends and produce opportunities to expand the team. We welcome Pete and Richard to their new roles.”
