System integrator Bailey Teswaine has signed up to resell Tandberg
videoconferencing solutions.
Bailey Teswaine said in a statement that it wants to offer end-to-end
videoconferencing. The integrator also uses Tandberg MXP units in three of its
own offices.
Lee Shaw, partner relationship manager at the integrator, said the company was seeking out what it believes are innovative solutions to build up its portfolio to satisfy customer demand, in part resulting from companies needing to cut back on travel costs.
“End users are becoming squeezed and demand for high availability in managed
services and Microsoft Office Live Communications Server (LCS) integration is
rising,” he said.
Tandberg’s video offering appealed for its LCS integration ability and
capability in terms of scale. Bailey Teswaine will initially train three staff
to work with the Tandberg product, but intends to grow that team to about six
over time, said Shaw.

“We will have pre-sales people trained as well and will definitely have one
or two specialists within the organisation selling the proposition,” he said.
Wayne Stephens, EMEA director of partners and alliances at Tandberg, said Bailey
Teswaine has run product trials before recommending them to its clients.
“Working with Bailey Teswaine demonstrates our shared commitment to providing
clients with the best possible solution to meet their needs,” said Stephens.
Shaw said that Bailey Teswaine has piloted the Tandberg set-up in its UK locations, including Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Bradford.
Saving on travel and boosting environmental efficiency was a major driver for
the integrator, which expects to eventually use its Tandberg videoconferencing
globally, he added.
Bailey Teswaine also recently signed up to offer Inclarity’s hosted
carrier-grade voice over IP (VoIP).
