Security vendor Bloxx has signed e92plus as its second UK distributor as it embarks on an aggressive channel expansion drive.
The web filtering appliance vendor last week revealed it had signed specialist security distributor Fresh Egg (CRN, 17 October) and told CRN it may have “another in the pipeline”.
Paul Irvine, sales and marketing director at Bloxx said: “E92plus has demonstrated that it has the know-how to market our solutions to end-users as well as resellers. We are looking to expand our channel dramatically and e92plus will play a significant part in that.”
However, Irvine admitted the vendor is not looking to take on too many partners, adding: “We don’t want to spread ourselves too thin.”
Mukesh Gupta, managing director of e92plus, said: “We took on the product because it is not licensed on a per user basis, but on a performance basis which is simpler to sell. The fact that Bloxx is also a local Scottish company, rather than US-based also makes a refreshing change.”
