Downloadbuyer.com, a new UK-based software e-tailer, has opened for business.
The online reseller has been formed by channel veteran Jon Silvera. Silvera acquired FastTrak Software Publishing in 2005 and went on to sell the company to developer Avanquest Software in 2006, where he took on the role of corporate retail director.
Downloadbuyer offers a catalogue of software titles for both PCs and Macs, all in a downloadable format.

The site carries the likes of Magix, ZoneAlarm, Net Nanny, Sun Microsystems, Aqua Connect, Datawatch, Avanquest, IMSI, Fast Reports, Kinemac, Inertia, Mariner, ABBYY, F-Secure and Vertus.
Silvera said: “Downloadbuyer.com is about choice, convenience and value, but more than this it is also about interaction, communication and satisfaction.”
Search results on the site are displayed in real time.
The Downloadbuyer platform has been developed internally by technical director and co-founder Mike Green. With a background in web and application development, Green has 20 years of industry experience.

Easy
I have recently bought something from this site and found it easy to navigate and use. Everything just seemed logical with no pop-up ads and weird links to other pages. Well done, a e-tailer for the simple man.
