Storage vendor EMC has axed Bell Micro from its distribution line up.
According to channel sources the contract was terminated last week, but it will be effective from 30 November.
"We will no longer be distributed by Bell Micro in the UK,î said Nigel Ghent, marketing director at EMC. This will have no impact on our wider relationship with Bell in EMEA and in the US."
Ghent declined to comment on any reasons for the move. He added: "We are happy with our distributors, Magirus and Horizon Clarity, and will not look to appoint another distributor at the moment, although this will be reviewed as an on-going process."
Peter Dickinson, EMC business development manager at VAR Transam, said: " There were staff changes at Bell, lots of storage staff moved to Horizon."
