Westcon Security has enlisted former MessageLabs head Axel Lagerborg as its new UK managing director.
Lagerborg will take up the post on Monday and perform a short handover period with Kay Bruen, who announced her resignation from the distributor last month.
Lagerborg was previously a director at ISP Star. Before that he was corporate and SMB sales director EMEA for Star-owned security vendor MessageLabs and he has also served stints at distributors Ingram Micro and Computer 2000.

Bruen said: “I have enjoyed my time at Westcon and I am sure Axel is the right person to continue to build Westcon’s Security's UK business. I wish him the best of luck."
Bruen is leaving Westcon to launch a channel consultancy, Clipsham IT Limited.
“I have already got my first five customers set up,” she said.
