Acquisitive northern VAR Concorde Excel Holdings has made good on its promise to buy its way into the south of England by snapping up Uxbridge-based RW Communications.
Concorde was set up by a business consortium last year, which came together to acquire VAR Concorde Informatics through a buy-in management buyout. Since then the firm has acquired two more resellers: Leeds-based Phase CRS; and Control Key, which is headquartered in Blackburn.
Concorde Informatics' operations will now be merged with RW Communications. RW directors Russell Whitlock and David Cooper will remain in place for the time being, serving the new owners in a consultancy role.

Concorde claims that grabbing a piece the action in the south east will facilitate exponential growth of the company. The group expects to generate revenue of more than £10m this year, and chief executive Colin Meakin claimed RW is a perfect addition.
“RW has earned its reputation for customer service and technical excellence through continuous performance," he said. "It is our aim to build on these values as we expand our overall service offerings, delivering a progressive and innovative range of services that customers need – and, indeed, demand – in today's competitive environment."
