Former BITS boss Paul Childerhouse has been hired as a special projects director for AV specialist PSCo.
Childerhouse, formerly chief executive officer at trade-only AV services company BITS, will head the distributor's sales and service teams with the aim of enhancing its skills and understanding of customer projects.
Stuart Holmes, managing director at PSCo, said Childerhouse’s background makes him a valuable resource for PSCo’s integrator partners.

“His service experience will allow us to develop our resources to be involved with more complex work, improving our ability to partner with our clients on projects,” said Holmes.
Childerhouse spent seven years at BITS, where he also led the sales team, introducing AV to BITS as well as managing large projects for Royal Mail and BAA with street furniture vendor JC Decaux.
According to PSCo, Childerhouse has particular expertise in managing installation and service levels for large digital signage flat-panel projects. He also worked with Fujitsu on the introduction of plasma technology and plasma on-site warranty schemes.
Childerhouse said he wants to reinforce PSCo’s ties with manufacturers and further develop its service levels around its advanced product portfolio.
“The move to PSCo is a chance to work with like-minded people in a company that wants to add value, through technical expertise and new innovative technologies,” he said.
