Security vendor Breach has claimed its recent success in the European market necessitated its new distribution deal with C-MI Labs.

US-based Breach signed VCW as it first UK distributor last year and has now signed up C-MI to distribute its Breach Security, Web Defend and ModSecurity Pro M1 100 web application firewall products across Europe. The vendor has claimed its European revenue for the first six months of this year is triple what it was last year.
Breach claim the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirement 6.6 deadline, which passed earlier this year, will continue to drive the sales of web application products. Requirement 6.6 introduces mandates for increased security measures for web-facing applications.

Neil Patmore, chief technology officer for C-MI Labs, said: “We are excited to be able to offer Breach Security’s award-winning WebDefend and ModSecurity Pro M1100 web application firewall appliances to our customers. These two best-of-breed solutions will help keep our customers’ web applications running correctly and securely, while providing an easy way for them to comply with the PCI DSS.”

Breach's senior vice president Sanjay Mehta, added: “C-MI Labs realises that it is as important for organisations to maintain the integrity of their web applications as it is to secure them. In partnering with Breach Security, C-MI Labs can now provide its clients with the ability to monitor real-time, continuous web application security and integrity.”
