Security distributor Wick Hill has extended its reach into the communications arena after signing up to distribute vendor Netgear's range of business products.
The Woking-based VAD will focus on Netgear's new ProSecure range of web and email threat management appliances. Wick Hill will also carry the vendor's full complement of SME-focused kit, including storage, routers, firewalls, switches and wireless technology.
Netgear claims the ProSecure STM series allows SMEs to invest in enterprise-grade kit at an affordable price. The vendor indicated that the technology works by safeguarding against the entire threat type rather than just a subset of it.

Wick Hill announced a deal to distribute Samsung's IP PBXs two weeks ago. Ian Kilpatrick, chairman of the distributor, added: "The launch of the ProSecure range marks Netgear’s entry into this specific security market and the company has appointed us for our extensive experience of working with vendors in this area. We have worked with Netgear previously in Germany and have an in-depth understanding of their products.”
