Rewarding work: Brother claims resellers are joining the Sell and Select scheme in their droves

Printing vendor Brother has hailed the success of its Sell and Select VAR reward scheme after reporting a sharp hike in the number of resellers signing up.

Sell and Select has enjoyed a 275 per cent increase in individuals signing up compared to its predecessor, the Bonus Points scheme. Almost 800 people have registered since its launch in January and Brother claims this speaks to the improved benefits the scheme offers VARs.

Sell and Select gives each Brother hardware product a serial number which resellers enter into their account each time they close a sale. Each deal is then translated into points which can be exchanged for goods from an online catalogue or converted into high-street vouchers. Certain products are worth more at certain times, which Brother claims encourages partners to be more proactive and engage with the scheme's reseller portal.

Brother claims uptake of the new scheme has also been boosted by the success of the Sell a Brother, Change Your Life incentive. The offer, which was used to launch Sell and Select, offered VARs taking part the chance to win part of a £100,000 prize pot.

Brother UK's head of channel sales Rob Bridges said: "Based on feedback from our previous incentive schemes, we have been able to build something that is easy to access and use and offers rewards that are of real value to our partners. The fact that so many people have signed up already is a clear indicator that we have got it right.”
