An empty boardroom

Start-up apps channel specialist SaaSMAX has appointed former Webroot EMEA channel chief Ian Moyse to its advisory board.

The one-year-old firm is an online marketplace that allows software vendors to develop and manage reseller channels. Resellers, meanwhile, can use the site to find appropriate apps for their customers' needs.

End users can also use SaaSMAX to find product information on apps that may be useful for their business, and can locate VARs that may be best-placed to deploy them.

Moyse will serve in the capacity of advisor to the board of the US-based firm.

ChannelWeb understands that Moyse, who left Webroot at the end of November, is likely to pop up in a new full-time role in the channel next week.
