For those readers not yet aware - we have now extended the 2009 Channel Awards entry deadline until 7 August.
That means you all have an extra few weeks to get those entries finished on
time and sent in, for your chance to win one of the most coveted awards in the
channel.
This year the whole awards system has been moved online to make it easier for
you - so you can either type your entry straight online, or include it as an
attachment.
Making this kind of announcement is always a double-edged sword - because on one hand people that are half-way through their entries get a little extra breathing space - but those that have worked extra hard to hit the deadlines are left feeling a little miffed that their efforts have gone to waste.
Well I can assure you that they haven't and we very much appreciate your efforts to hit the deadlines. Thanks to every single one of you who has already submitted their entry.
It is very difficult to please all the people all the time - but we are hoping that in the long run, everyone benefits from this extension and gives us judges as hard a time deciding the shortlists as we had last year.
Good luck and I look forward to reading each and every one of them.
