What a year 2008 has been for CRN. We have tweaked the layout of the magazine and completely redesigned the web site.
As a result, our web traffic is increasing month by month and we are updating our site with news several times a day.
Not only that, but we have launched three events this year Channel Expo,
the UK’s only exhibition dedicated solely to the channel; CRN Fight
Night, the channel’s only white-collar boxing event; and the Reseller Leadership
Forum, a high-level
reseller-only networking event.
All our new events got off to a great start and we have learned a lot of lessons to make 2009’s events even better.
The Channel Awards celebrated their 15th birthday this year and it was an amazing night of glitz and glamour, with some very deserving winners.
Unfortunately, the economy has also taken a nosedive this year, with the country truly in the grip of a recession, but we at CRN are still on the hunt for positive stories among the doom and gloom, hoping that an optimistic attitude will help get us all through these difficult times.
I hope all of you have a peaceful and enjoyable Christmas and use the festive season to take a well-earned break from all the stress of the credit crunch, before the wheels of 2009 get in motion and we all press full steam ahead.
Merry Christmas and happy new year to all our readers from everyone at CRN!
