Career so far: Between 1986 and 1997 I was at Sharp Electronics, rising from areas sales manager to head of LCD. In 1997 I moved to Maverick Presentation Products as managing director.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? James Anderson. I would play in the Ashes and take the winning wicket.

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? It was better than I thought. There was strong growth - we are still pinching ourselves.

What would you have as your last meal? The most expensive bottle of red wine possible and a cheese sandwich.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with? My kids - they might actually spend some time talking to me.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Manchester Utd winning the league for the 19th time.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012? Picking the right brands and technologies is increasingly difficult.

What is the best part of your day? The first coffee.
