What is your greatest career move
to date?
When I left university with a mathematics degree, my careers advisor suggested I either became an accountant or an actuary. My best career move was becoming neither.
What is top of your bucket list?
Climbing Mount Everest.
What has changed most since you started working in the channel?
The biggest change has got to be the decline in margins - for distributors
and partners.
How do you think Brexit is going to affect the channel?
Initial mass hysteria, followed by business as usual.
What is your least favourite task during the working day?
Attending any meeting which lasts more than 30 minutes.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
A pussy cat - we all like to be stroked. If you won the big one on EuroMillions, what would you do? Build a school exclusively for the education of bright kids from underprivileged backgrounds.
What is your worst habit?
Always being right (and modesty).
How has 2016 been for you?
It has been great fun and very enjoyable watching Kite go from strength to strength.
If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would be your dream career?
I always wanted a career in sport but my aspirations were always greater than my ability.
What major issues will the channel face in 2017?
The biggest issue for us could be summed up in two words: President Trump.
