IBM-Ricoh joint venture InfoPrint Solutions has brought Benoît Chatelard back from Asia to head the company’s EMEA solution sales.
Moreno Tartaglini, EMEA vice president for InfoPrint, said Chatelard will spearhead a year of initiatives aimed at driving solution sales through the channel.
“Starting from [May], we will have committees of the business partners, so they can have a voice in our company to say what they want and what they might need,” said Tartaglini.

Representatives from every country will be included in the initiative to help InfoPrint be more responsive to resellers and market needs. InfoPrint wants to tailor suitable incentives by country.
“Business partners will be able to work with us on decisions. It is good value to have us all working together,” said Tartaglini. “An opportunity that existed 10 days ago may no longer exist. We need to be very fast.”
Chatelard was Asia-Pacific general manager, but will be senior vice president and general manager for EMEA, based in London.
InfoPrint’s chief executive Tony Romero said Chatelard drove “outstanding success” in China. “He brings a wealth of expertise about the EMEA market at a key juncture.”
