SecureIT Alliance in SafeBoots

data protection vendor SafeBoot joins Microsoft's web-based security community

Written by Sara Yirrell

Security vendor SafeBoot has joined the SecureIT Alliance founded by Microsoft.

As a member of the Alliance, a web-enabled community that serves as a central point for members to share security solutions and information, SafeBoot will offer its expertise in data protection via centralised encryption and access control.

Frank Jorissen, vice president of business development at SafeBoot, said: “Stopping corporate data leakage is a growing concern for companies and government agencies. Empowering these organisations to establish and enforce their security policies is saving them the embarrassment and large costs due to breaches.”

“The SecureIT Alliance is a hub of information needed to continue to deliver world-class solutions to IT security professionals around the globe.”

Gerry Albert, Microsoft group manager said: “We are pleased to welcome SafeBoot to the SecureIT Alliance. Data security is top-of-mind for many organisations who must protect their information and the information of their clients. Active participation with the SecureIT Alliance will accelerate the advancement of platform integrated security solutions.”
