Vividas signs more partners as its channel push gathers pace

Videostreaming vendor may recruit more that its original target of 10 to 20 resellers in Europe

Written by Trevor Treharne

Videostreaming vendor Vividas has claimed its channel push is picking up speed after recruiting several partners.

Earlier in the year the vendor outlined plans to recruit up to 10 VARs in the UK as it moves towards a completely indirect model (CRN, 4 May).

Since May, Vividas has signed UK partners such as IT services provider ioko 365, digital marketing agency NovaRising and managed IT services provider Business Systems Group (BSG).

Andrew Wilding, managing director of Vividas Europe, told CRN: “We had worked direct, but we want to push a channel strategy. We have signed 20 global partnerships and reseller agreements, with eight to 10 VARs in Europe.”

Wilding added that he was pleased with Vividas’ channel recruitment progress and that it may recruit more partners than its original target of 10 to 20 VARs in Europe.

“In terms of the high-definition quality video we provide, this is not available from another source,” he said. “We have had a few firms approach us directly. We have been signing digital-media focused firms and some system integrators.”

He added that Vividas will provide partners with video updates to add a personal touch to partner support.

“Our product can work with technology platforms such as Apple, Windows and Unix,” he said. “This gives the channel a product that is applicable everywhere.”

Nick Gerard, chief executive of BSG, which integrates videostreaming technology from Vividas (CRN, 20 July), said: “The Vividas offering is an important part of our portfolio of managed services. It allows our customers to deliver an even more compelling offering and brings dynamism to one-to-one email marketing.

“It [Vividas’s offering] signals the next move forward from a static HTML email page to one that can feature personalised messages with high-quality video.”
