Online Network Solutions secures school contract

VAR will implement an Aruba wireless network at Bradfield College in Berkshire

Written by Sara Yirrell

VAR Online Network Solutions (ONS) has won a contract to implement an Aruba wireless network at a private school in Berkshire.

As a result, 650 pupils at Bradfield College will be able to access the internet from classrooms and student bedrooms. The college had completed a six-month evaluation of Aruba’s technology.

James Nalty, director of IT at Bradfield College, said: “Aruba was the clear choice. As some access points (APs) are located up to 20 minutes away from the network data centre, individual management of each AP was severely time consuming. Thankfully, Aruba’s solution is centralised and does not need individual management, so it will save us considerable time and effort.”

Andrew Deas, managing director of ONS, said: “We are very pleased to design and integrate the campus-wide wireless network for Bradfield College. We look forward to continuing to support it with the expansion of the network.”
