Oracle fosters partner project

Vendor unveils partner 'dating agency' tool

Written by Doug Woodburn

Software juggernaut Oracle has launched a tool that allows its UK partners to hook up with overseas counterparts on joint business opportunities.

The online device enables ISVs and resellers to search for partners operating in the same verticals or offering complementary software. Oracle hopes that more than a tenth of its 19,000 global partners will use the tool this year.

Alan Hartwell, vice-president channel and solutions UK at Oracle, said: “This will open up foreign markets to partners by allowing them to collaborate with partners abroad, which they have found difficult to do before.”

The new tool will initially function as a ‘dating agency’, Hartwell added, with extra functionality from Oracle to follow.
