Distribution group Computerlinks has labelled its first quarter 2007 as a success.

The pan-European firm, which last quarter celebrated a 42 per cent increase in turnover for its financial year 2006, saw Q1 turnover increase 13.3 per cent to €102m compared with €90m the previous year. Gross profit for the quarter was €14.2m compared with €12.6m the previous year.

Stephen Link, chief executive of Computerlinks, said: “The successful start as well as the positive economic climate makes us confident that we can continue this positive trend in forthcoming quarters.”

Dave Ellis, director of e-security at Computerlinks UK, said: “Along with Germany, the UK is the biggest contributor to Computerlinks’ business. The general figures are indicative of the UK numbers – all in all it has been a reasonable start to the year.”
