Written by Sara Yirrell

Computerlinks has strengthened its existing European relationship with F5 Networks by signing a Gold Advantage distribution agreement for the UK and Ireland.

The deal will see the specialist security and networking distributor supply the full range of F5 products to its reseller base in the region including the BIG-IP family of products.

David Ellis, director of e-security at Computerlinks, said: “We are delighted to be working with F5. We have a strong relationship in other parts of Europe and this deal gives us the opportunity to extend this into the UK and Ireland.

“F5’s technologies are very complementary to our existing portfolio, and enable us to wrap around a number of value added services, including lead generation activities, which will help our partners win new business and develop existing projects around application performance and security.”

Paul Coates, regional director, UK and Ireland at F5 Networks, said: “This agreement is an important part of our evolving channel strategy. Working with Computerlinks not only provides us with an enormous opportunity
to expand our reach in the domestic channel, but also strengthens our
support network with significant sales and technical resources. We look
forward to working with Computerlinks n the UK and Ireland and building ona successful European relationship."
