The vendor, whose Enterprise Edition software works alongside Citrix’s Presentation Server, launched a UK office and appointed Centia as an exclusive distributor in April this year.
David Forsche, senior director of partner development at BioPassword, claimed VARs had lost out on authentication deals because they were pushing expensive hardware solutions that required users to change their behaviour.
BioPassword authenticates users based on the rhythm of their keystrokes. “When we looked at the market a couple of years back we knew seven per cent of companies were addressed for authentication. We are opening up the rest of the market for resellers,” said Forsche.
Scott Fletcher, chief executive of reseller ANS, which owns single-sign-on ISV Smart ID, said: “It sounds like an interesting technology. We partner with both Centia and Citrix, so we would look at this alongside the technology we do with Smart ID.”
