Zyxel has bolstered its retail channel to push its latest consumer networking products.
The Taiwan-based networking vendor has signed new partnership deals with Dixons Stores Group International, Maplin, Misco, Dabs.com and eBuyer.com to help it grab a larger share of the consumer purse.
Its new products include a revamped digital media streamer and network storage server, which have been repackaged to make them more user friendly.
The vendor has also created a jargon free consumer guide that it hopes will make home computing less stressful.
Sarah Guy, UK marketing manager at Zyxel, said: "The home network market is currently booming. Customers are now demanding access to content in many different rooms in the house.
"Research shows that more than £1.25m is wasted in the UK every year because people are unsure how to set-up or use digital technology. We hope our new range of products will help the UK's techno-phobes enjoy their technology."
