Software vendor Adobe has launched a partner programme in the UK as part of a
recruitment drive.
The programme is designed to provide partners with training, reduce the time
needed to prepare for a sale and simplify selling with Adobe’s direct-touch
sales team. The vendor said it does not have a target number of VARs to recruit
and was looking for quality not quantity within the programme.
Giles Cunningham, enterprise channel manager at Adobe, said: “Adobe has launched a scheme that provides subtle changes to a business instead of turning it upside down. A reseller portal provides easy access for all the information on sales training and online sales courses.
“There are two types of courses available to partners. The first is a selection of short courses in EMEA and the second is for larger partners, which covers product training and provides an example of how a project might work,” Cunningham said.
The partner programme focuses on Adobe’s enterprise products; Intelligent
Forms, Connect and Flex.
Peter Kear, sales director at VAR IS Solutions, said: “We sent a host of
employees ranging from web designers to engineers on the courses by Adobe. When
Top Gear launched the Hilux Arctic Challenge, where a Toyota Hilux was sent to
the North Pole (above), the programme wanted a web site to celebrate their
achievement.
“We designed the web site in Flex, direct from the education we received from
Adobe and it was ready in time for the programme being aired.”
