Aladdin partner portal boosts leads

Vendor aims to recruit with online portal

Written by Doug Woodburn

Web security and authentication vendor Aladdin has unveiled its first partner portal as it ploughs on with its VAR recruitment drive.
The portal features technical information and a partner forum, and helps VARs gain extra discounts by registering end-user opportunities.
Mark Kacary, sales director of Enterprise Security UK at Aladdin, said: “We have always had our security alliance website for partners, but it was not very flexible and did not have much additional functionality.
“With the new portal, we are offering access to a greater knowledge base,” he added.
Aladdin, which works through distributors Arc Technology and DNS Arrow in the UK, has doubled its VAR base to 12 since January, with Armadillo and ONI as its latest recruits.
Stuart Clark, security division product manager at Arc Technology, said: “The leads we have generated for Aladdin in the past three months have been fantastic and the introduction of the partner portal allows us to allocate them to resellers.”
