Computerlinks
has declared it will focus its attention on green offerings starting with the
signing of a distribution agreement with virtualisation software vendor,
RES.
David Caughtry, director of e-business at Computerlinks, told CRN: “We
are starting to see the importance of green issues and virtualisation is a hot
topic. We are looking at ways to reduce the carbon footprint of companies and as
we grow in virtualisation we will have a greener package to offer.”
Rob Bamforth, principal consult at analyst house,
Quocirca,
said: “Green IT is growing in importance and there are good financial reasons
for going down the green path.”
