Computerlinks set to go green

Distributor completes deal with RES

Written by Garry Hayes

Computerlinks has declared it will focus its attention on green offerings starting with the signing of a distribution agreement with virtualisation software vendor, RES.
David Caughtry, director of e-business at Computerlinks, told CRN: “We are starting to see the importance of green issues and virtualisation is a hot topic. We are looking at ways to reduce the carbon footprint of companies and as we grow in virtualisation we will have a greener package to offer.”
Rob Bamforth, principal consult at analyst house, Quocirca, said: “Green IT is growing in importance and there are good financial reasons for going down the green path.”
